Lapeña grateful with GSIS assistance

TAGUIG CITY – Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Secretary Isidro Lapeña expressed his gratitude to the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) for its continuous support during the virtual signing of the Deed of Transfer between the two government agencies on Tuesday, October 27, 2020.

In his message, Lapeña shared how GSIS has been very helpful to TESDA.

“In our series of meetings we’ve had since last year, the GSIS has never said no to anything we’ve requested from them,” he said.

GSIS transferred a Toyota Revo and other equipment to TESDA to transport trainers in remote areas to train residents.

Under its Social Responsibility Program, GSIS has been active in responding to TESDA’s insurance claims and even installed GSIS wireless automated processing system kiosk in the TESDA Central Office.

GSIS President and General Manager Rolando Macasaet, during the signing said that he is glad that they are able to help TESDA.

“I wish to say that GSIS is always willing to support TESDA. For example, yan pong Toyota Revo, magagamit niyo po ito para sa ‘automotive’; yung computers, pwedeng gamitin yan for your ‘computer repair’ courses,” Macasaet added.

Lapeña added that the donations of GSIS came in time as the country continues to fight the spread of COVID-19.

“TESDA has been working very hard to intensify our programs and services to help our countrymen face challenges brought by the pandemic. This will surely aid our TESDAns on the ground to immediately reach our kababayan and deliver training in the communities,” he noted.

He also assured the officials of GSIS that all the support and donations it has provided TESDA will be well taken care of.
