How to cook Honey Mustard Chicken

Honey mustard chicken is grilled chicken mixed with a sauce made from honey and mustard.

How To Cook Honey Mustard Chicken

First prepare the chicken. Use whatever part you like, whether it’s breast meat or thigh meat. Season the chicken lightly with salt and black pepper and let it come to room temperature.

Potatoes can be cut into bite-sized pieces. To make it easier to cook the potatoes, heat them in a 500 watt microwave for about 5 minutes to warm them up slightly. Of course, you can also lightly boil it in a pot.

Use a frying pan that can be placed directly in the oven to sear the chicken. Add olive oil and heat a frying pan over medium heat. Fry, skin side down, until lightly browned. Halfway through, flip it over to brown both sides.

The chicken will eventually be heated in the oven, so there’s no need to cook it through. Remove the cooked chicken from the frying pan.

Use the same pan in which you cooked the chicken to make the sauce. Add the finely chopped garlic and saute lightly.

Add white wine and bring to a light boil.

Add honey and Dijon mustard and stir to combine.

Return the chicken to the pan and toss with the sauce.

Add the potatoes and green beans to the pot and mix gently. Use frozen green beans. You can also use other vegetables such as broccoli or asparagus.

Place in the oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius and bake until the chicken is cooked through.

• White wine ————————————— 120 ml
• Dijon mustard ————————————1 1/2 teaspoon
• Honey ——————————————– 1 tablespoon
• Potatoes (medium) —————————— 3 pieces
• Green beans (frozen) —————————- 120 g

Cooking Steps

1. Lightly sprinkle the chicken with salt and black pepper.

2. Cut the potatoes into bite-sized pieces and heat them in the microwave. Finely chop the garlic.

3. Heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

4. Pour olive oil in a frying pan and heat over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned on both sides. When done, remove the chicken from the pan.

5. Add garlic to the frying pan and fry lightly. Add white wine and bring to a gentle boil.

6. Add Dijon mustard and honey and mix everything together.

7. Return the chicken to the pot and mix well with the sauce, then add the potatoes and green beans to the pot.

8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes until the meat is completely cooked.
